Nestled in the heart of the country’s oldest fishing village, you’ll find a charming acre estate complete with historic cottages, a 1,000 square-foot boat house event space, private Courtyard, 150-foot boat dock and much more located just over the bridge from Anna Maria Island.
Relax in one of our five 1936 cottages and enjoy the balmy ocean breeze along with views of the bay. Each cottage was restored in 2022 and offers gracious amenities perfect for the modern traveler while allowing the original charm and old Florida feel to shine through. The 4 one-bedroom, one-bath cottages and 1 three-bedroom, three-bath cottage each feature a fully equipped kitchen, televisions, Wi-Fi and other modern touches coupled with original porcelain fixtures, vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams and antique doors. The old and the new meld together at this one-of-a-kind property to provide you with a tranquil, private setting, whether you’re joining us for your next vacation, a family gathering, reunion or wedding celebration.
Our newly renovated Boathouse provides the perfect place to host your next celebration with it’s wrap around waterfront bar.
Surrounded by coconut palms and mangroves, the Boathouse also provides serene views of the bay as you enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast. After breakfast, step out onto the dock for easy access to your boat or to enjoy one of our dolphin tours.
The tastefully lit private Courtyard leads right to our historic waterfront net camp where guests can enjoy the sunset. The net camp is also an amazing place to host a smaller gathering for cocktail hour or a group game night.
Rental packages are available to suit every need, whether you want to enjoy a quiet trip to one of the cottages or utilize the entire property for your dream wedding. Venue packages are available for up to 100 guests with the property able to accommodate up to 32 overnight guests.
Shopping, world-class restaurants, museums, spas and the famous white sand beaches of Anna Maria Island are just a short walk or bicycle ride away.

When Cortez Dockside Cottages and Venue owners Heidi and John Banyas were looking for the perfect place to say “I do” none of the available local venues seemed to fit just right. After creating their own fairytale wedding space, the couple decided to do the same for others in the heart of the historic Cortez Fishing Village.
